ESSA is excited to present our summer musical, Rock of Ages (Youth Edition). An intensive singing, dancing and drama workshop where you can learn new skills, make new friends and perform to a backdrop of 80s rock classics!

 

Could you be our leading lady Sherrie? A small town girl with a strong voice and an even stronger right hook. Or perhaps our main man Drew? A city boy with a big heart and big dreams to match. Register now to join the picket line and save the legendary Dupree Room from demolition!

The workshop will be held from 12-18 August 2024 and is suitable for ages 5-18. 

​

Applications close 19th July 2024.

 

Times:
 

Monday - Thursday: 9am - 4 pm

Friday: Students will arrive at 2pm for dress rehearsal, and the show will start at 7pm.

​

Auditions:

​

Students will be asked to submit a video audition including one dance, one song, and one short excerpt of script. We will send you an audition pack when you apply, which will include everything you need. Students aged 8-18 may audition for one of our main or featured roles. Students aged 7 and under do not need to audition, but may send in a tape if they wish to.

 

The deadline for auditions is 25th July 2024.

The audition process is nothing to worry about and just a chance for us to get to know you. Everyone who applies will be given a part, but the biggest parts will go to the strongest performers. Good luck!
